To say that 2019 will be a “prolific” year for this fire department would be an understatement. That’s because the North Carolina Fire Department will soon have seven new “firefighters.” And all because seven firefighters’ wives became pregnant at the same time.
When photographer Brianna Mitchell found out about this story, she decided to take pictures of all the expectant mothers as a keepsake. We’re willing to bet they’re all glad she did, as the resulting photos were definitely worth it.
“All seven women were so excited and I was so happy that I was able to capture such a memorable time in the department’s history.”
Believe it or not, in December and February, two little firefighters were already born to the staff of the unit, as a result of which only nine children will appear in one firehouse in one year. Babies will be born in March, April, May, June, August, and September.
“I’m so happy that I’m sharing this special moment with them,” Brianna rejoiced. ” All the ladies are expecting their first child, except for one who is expecting her second.
“Each of them put on her husband’s pants, and in their hands, they held tops with the names of the children, as well as the number of the fire department where their father works.
In May 2018, firefighters from a unit in Oklahoma posed for a photo with their seven toddlers.
Then, in September 2018, the fire department in Revere, Massachusetts, hit the headlines with their nine children under the age of one. (All the dads posed with the little ones in front of the fire truck to show their growing families, and it was terribly cute.)
Good luck to these seven families of firefighters, who will soon become not only the happiest but also the most sleepy. (As if staying awake at their job is not enough for them.)
