There is no cure for lymphedema, only supportive and symptom-relieving therapy, which includes a special drinking regimen with plenty of water to cleanse the body. Mahogany admits that because of her peculiarity, her peers teased and insulted her at school. Even passers-by gave unflattering comments. Geter has practically no friends, and her mother is her best friend, who always considered her daughter the most beautiful and supported her in every possible way. But Mahogany has learned to ignore the hate and cruelty of those around her. She was also able to love herself. There was a period when she considered herself ugly and thought that the Lord had cursed her. But then Geter believed that God sent such a test because the girl has a strong spirit and can handle everything. Today, Geter loves herself and is proud of what her amazing body is capable of.
