GiGi the owl was sent to Heart Rescue in Mississippi. The bird had severe brain damage. The inspection revealed that the owl suffered injuries as a consequence of an automobile collision.
The owl’s condition was described by Missy Dubusson, the organization’s founder, as follows: “The bird had major brain damage, pneumonia, and parasites all over her body.”
GiGi had therapy and lost around a pound since she was so weak. This is a significant amount for owls, who typically weigh between 2 and 5 pounds. GiGi had to be hand-fed at first since she could not even accept food, but eventually, the bird healed and started eating on her own.
Pojeky largely took care of GiGi. GiGi was given a second chance at life as a result of his tenderness and concern. Pojeky once traveled to Michigan to see his folks. GiGi started to dance joyfully on his arm as he went back to her and started to scrutinize her.
GiGi approached him, put her head on his shoulder, and gave him a wing hug. This is how the bird expressed her gratitude for saving her life! This is such a touching moment! It demonstrates that animals, like people, have feelings!
