In 2014, Budweiser produced one of the most memorable commercials in history. The “Puppy Love” commercial debuted during the Super Bowl. It showed a cute yellow Labrador Retriever puppy befriending the famous Clydesdale horse.
The commercial started with one of the Labradors running away from the kennel and towards the stable.
The puppy dashed to the barn and approached the massive horse, who bowed his head and received a tender nose kiss. Kissing a puppy made the horse turn around.
The puppy then kept running away to his friend until he was eventually adopted and the horse lost his little friend. In the final scene, the puppy looked sadly out the car window, and the horses, not wanting to give up, chased and surrounded the puppy’s owner’s car.
Many people were moved to tears by the touching story in this advertisement. But that’s not the end of the story; Budweiser is back with a two-friend reunion. In the continuation of this commercial, the horse and puppy face more difficult challenges in order to reunite… The second segment of the commercial is titled “Reunited with Buds.”
Touching scenes and plot-appropriate music are perfectly balanced. No one can resist the sweet and heartwarming atmosphere.
