An anthropologist asked youngsters from an African tribe to participate in a single game. He placed a fruit basket near the tree and turned to the youngsters, saying, “Whoever gets to the tree first will get all these luscious fruits.”
When he gave the signal for the race to begin, the children gripped their hands firmly and sprinted together, and then they all sat together and ate wonderful fruits.
The astonished anthropologist inquired of the youngsters why they all raced together since each of them could eat the fruit individually. “Obonato,” the youngsters responded. “Obonato” means “I exist because we exist” in their language.
– Is it possible to be happy while everyone else is unhappy?
