Jake Gyllenhaal and his girlfriend, Jeanne Cadieu, went to the premiere of “Road House” in New York City with Jake’s parents, director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner Gyllenhaal.
Jake’s dad wore a long blue jacket, jeans, and a black sweater, while his mom wore a black blazer, pants, and a patterned blouse. Jake wore a black suit with a yellow tie, and Jeanne wore head-to-toe black with a low-cut top.
“Road House” is a new version of a movie from 1989. In this one, Jake plays a former UFC fighter who becomes a bouncer at a bar in Florida. He ends up having to fight some bad guys who want to take over the bar.
Jake talked about how he got ready for scenes where he didn’t wear a shirt. He said it took a lot of people helping him, including a trainer, a chef, and a nutritionist.
Jake wished he could have talked to Patrick Swayze, the star of the original “Road House” movie, who passed away in 2009. Jake said Patrick was kind and funny, and he respected him a lot.
