Kaia Gerber and Ayo Edebiri have become even closer friends by getting matching tattoos recently. Gerber, 22, shared in an interview with E! News that she and her friend Edebiri, 28, decided to get tattoos together. They got the tattoos after Edebiri hosted Saturday Night Live (SNL) for the first time on Feb. 3, with Jennifer Lopez as the musical guest.
Gerber said she went to see Edebiri on SNL and was impressed. The next day, instead of resting, Edebiri suggested they get tattoos, and Gerber agreed. Gerber joked that Edebiri is upset with her because she’ll be reuniting with their co-star Rachel Sennott in an upcoming movie about the start of SNL. Edebiri is apparently not happy about it.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Gerber would be in the movie as Chevy Chase’s ex-wife Jacqueline Carlin, alongside a cast playing famous comedians from the ’70s, like Nicholas Braun as Jim Henson and Dylan O’Brien as Dan Aykroyd.
Gerber asked her co-star Kristen Wiig for advice and stories from her time on SNL. She’s excited to go back to the ’70s for the movie.
At the premiere of Palm Royale, Gerber talked about working with Wiig and the rest of the cast. She said she learned a lot from them and enjoyed making the show.
