A source said Kelly left because she wasn’t happy with her dressing room. Rita Ora filled in and did a great job, impressing many people.
Kelly’s representative didn’t respond to requests for comment, and Today’s representative refused to comment.
Page Six first reported the news. Kelly was supposed to be a guest on the 8 a.m. hour and then co-host the fourth hour with Hoda & Jenna.
Kelly wanted a specific green room, but Jennifer Lopez was already using it. Jennifer was there to talk about her new album and movie.
Because Kelly didn’t like the dressing room she was offered, she left the set at the last minute. Hoda Kotb had to find someone else to replace her.
Right now, Kelly is promoting her new Netflix movie, Mea Culpa. It’s directed by Tyler Perry and is about a lawyer defending a seductive artist accused of murder.
