Kristin Davis celebrated her 59th birthday by looking back on her early days on the show Sex and the City. She shared a clip from the show where her character Charlotte York said she was nice, pretty, and smart. Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, agreed with her.
Earlier this month, Davis visited the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s Nairobi Nursery in Kenya. There, she met an elephant named Ndotto, whom she first met in 2014. She was surprised to see how much he had grown.
Davis spent the beginning of her birthday month traveling. The TV show Sex and the City also celebrated its 25th birthday in June. The show ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2004. It followed the lives of four women in New York City.
Davis said the success of Sex and the City was unexpected. The show led to two movies and a prequel called The Carrie Diaries. In 2021, a spinoff called And Just Like That… was released, featuring the original cast and some new faces.
Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones, did not return for the spinoff’s first season. However, she made a surprise cameo in the season 2 finale. Davis said they wanted to keep her cameo a secret to surprise the fans. They wanted to give fans what they wanted by including her in the show.
