Lindsay Lohan and Ayesha Curry had fun exploring Ireland while filming their movie “Irish Wish.” They talked about their adventures behind the scenes.
“We visited Newgrange,” said Lohan, 37. “It was a strange but cool experience.”
Curry added, “Newgrange is really old, even older than the pyramids in Egypt. It’s a special place with a lot of history.”
Newgrange is recognized by UNESCO, a group that protects important sites worldwide.
“It’s near a river called Boyne,” explained UNESCO. “It has big mounds called Knowth, Newgrange, and Dowth. People built these mounds a long time ago for rituals.”
Lohan remembered the long bus ride to get there. “We thought the bus was lost,” she laughed.
“It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere,” agreed Curry.
When they arrived, Lohan said it was peaceful and beautiful.
The two also explored Dublin and the cozy town of Dalkey.
“We had fun shopping in Dublin,” said Lohan. “And Dalkey was lovely with its castle.”
Sometimes, their spouses joined them for double dates when they had time off from filming.
“We had to wake up very early for work,” said Lohan. “But when we could, we went on double dates.”
In “Irish Wish,” Lohan plays Maddie, a woman with a crush on her coworker Paul. Curry plays Maddie’s friend Heather.
Lohan, who is also a producer of the movie, convinced Curry to join the cast after they became friends through a mutual acquaintance.
“I thought she’d be perfect for the movie,” said Lohan.
