After having one child four years ago, Lindsay Hay, who is 28 years old, had some pregnancies that didn’t go well.
Last year, when Lindsay went for an ultrasound, she and her husband Syman found out they were going to have four babies at once. They were very surprised and happy because they had been hoping for another child, but they never expected to have four!
Doctors had told Lindsay that her eggs weren’t very good quality, so they gave her some medicine called Follistim to help. After trying for three cycles, she got pregnant with the quadruplets.
Lindsay and Syman were very excited, but some of the doctors were worried because Lindsay is small and they weren’t sure if her body could handle having four babies at once. They even suggested reducing the number of babies she was carrying, but Lindsay decided to keep them all.
On July 23, 2019, Lindsay gave birth to the quadruplets—Caiden Michael, Madison Grace, Lucas Willam, and Grayson James—by C-section. They were born early, at 30 weeks and 4 days, and they needed help breathing.
The babies had to stay in the hospital for 45 days, but Lindsay said everything went well, and they were all healthy and growing.
Last month, Lindsay, who shares her life online, posted some pictures on Instagram. One showed her big belly when she was pregnant, and the other showed her holding the quadruplets.
She said she carried the babies for 30 weeks and 4 days inside her, and now they were the same age outside. She said she was very happy but also uncomfortable when she was pregnant.
Having the babies changed Lindsay’s body a lot, but she said it also showed her how strong she could be.
Lindsay said having four babies at once isn’t as hard as some people think, but it’s still tiring. She doesn’t get much sleep, but she feels very lucky to have her five children.
Their newest photo update on Instagram shows their happy family with all five kids.
