The Oppenheimer movie’s team did really well!
At the 2024 SAG Awards, the cast won a big award for their acting together in a movie. Other movies nominated were American Fiction, Barbie, The Color Purple, and Killers of the Flower Moon.
Kenneth Branagh, who played Niels Bohr in the movie, accepted the award. He thanked everyone involved in making the movie and the people who support actors. He mentioned how they supported a strike and stood together.

American Fiction is another movie with Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Sterling K. Brown, and Issa Rae. It’s about a writer who struggles with getting his book published because it’s not seen as “Black enough.”
Barbie has Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, and Will Ferrell in it. It’s about the Barbie doll and her world. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were nominated for their roles.
The Color Purple is based on a book by Alice Walker. It’s about a Black woman named Celie. It stars Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, and more.
Killers of the Flower Moon is directed by Martin Scorsese. It’s about real events where Native Americans were killed for their land. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Brendan Fraser, and Lily Gladstone.
