Owner Travels 310 Miles To Reunite With His Stolen Dog (video)

After being found 310 miles from home, a lost dog was reunited with his owner.

In June of last year, Bandit, a one-year-old Malinois Shepherd, disappeared from his Côte-d’Or, France, home. His owner, Farid, was unhappy and searched for his dogs’ best friends for months.

Sadly, he lost several months of his time in vain. Yet. Bandit was found on the side of the road by a kind stranger eight months later. The dog was taken when it was just 4 months old.

The dog was fortunate to have a microchip, which let his owner find him when he was discovered 310 miles from home without a collar. The reunion was well-planned, and the two best friends were thrilled to see one another again.

Bandit and Farid can now cohabit peacefully because of the remarkable, life-saving efforts of the shelter, a kind stranger, and a microchip. As soon as Farid heard the wonderful news, he sped to Bandit’s way.

He said, “I’m so grateful to everyone who helped him get better, and I cannot stress enough how important it is to chip your pets.” The incredible feat of returning Bandit home would not have been possible without the chip. The day Bandit returned home was among the happiest of my life.
