Grace Kelly was born on November 12, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the third of four kids and grew up in a rich family. Grace went to a fancy women’s college and later studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York.
At 20, Grace started her Hollywood career, first in theatrical productions in New York and later in TV during the Golden Age. She was known for her calm demeanor, elegance, and beauty.
Between 1952 and 1956, Grace starred in 11 films. Notable ones include “Mogambo,” where she won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, and “High Society” with Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. She also worked in three Alfred Hitchcock films: “Dial M for Murder,” “Rear Window,” and “To Catch a Thief” with Cary Grant.
At 26, Grace left acting to marry Prince Rainier III of Monaco. She became Princess of Monaco and focused on charity work and raising her three kids: Caroline, Albert II, and Stéphanie. Grace Kelly tragically died at 52 in a car accident.
Though her Hollywood career was brief, Grace left a beautiful family. Her three kids had 11 grandchildren, including Camille Gottlieb, Princess Stephanie’s daughter. Camille, 24, often shares photos on Instagram resembling her famous grandmother.
Unfortunately, Camille can’t inherit the Monaco throne due to her parents not being married when she was born. Grace Kelly’s legacy continues to inspire.
She is remembered as one of the most elegant actresses of her time. Though she couldn’t see her family grow, her descendants carry on her heritage.
Fans worldwide will always remember her unique talent and style.
