Selena Gomez and David Henrie announced that “Wizards of Waverly Place” is coming back this Fall. Selena shared her excitement on Instagram. They posted a picture from the old show and a teaser for the new series. Selena said she’s grateful for the opportunity.
The new show is called “Wizards”. Selena and David will be executive producers. David will also be a regular character. Selena will make a guest appearance. There will be new actors too.
The original show ran from 2007 to 2012. The new series will focus on Justin, played by David, trying to live a normal life. But things get complicated when his sister, played by Selena, and a young wizard show up.
The new series will start filming in April. It’s written by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, who also worked on “Raven’s Home”.

Disney teased the return of the show earlier by posting a picture of a script with a wand. Selena and David confirmed they were working on it.
They also shared pictures with the new cast and writers. Everyone seems excited to bring back the magic!
