As April Elizabeth Licata writes on her Facebook, mom, the dog is 2 years old and was given to her son Carter for his 12th birthday. The only problem is that on November 18, Piper disappeared.

April told that everyone loved Piper, but she had a special connection with Carter, downright love at first sight. On November 18, the woman let her dog out to use the bathroom, and when she opened the door to let her back in, Piper was nowhere to be seen.
The disappearance of Piper was a real tragedy.
On November 19, the mother of the family posted on Facebook asking for help finding Piper.
The whole family madly yearned for the dog. Older children Carter and Natalie did not want to decorate the Christmas tree, and Thanksgiving was the darkest day in their history. But in early December, April received a message from GeneseeCounty AnimalShelter. She was told that a dog resembling Piper had been picked up and taken to a shelter. And yes, it really was her! When April and her husband learned this wonderful news, Carter and Natalie were out of town, and they decided to keep quiet for a while and arrange a surprise for the boy.
