Fishermen on the Russian island of Sakhalin discovered a killer whale calf that had been abandoned by its mother.
Fishermen on Sakhalin, Russia saw a baby killer whale floundering in fishing nets. He was completely alone and could become the prey of poachers, but caring residents did not leave him in trouble.
Sakhalin residents launched a real rescue operation on the water. They freed the whale from the net and the availability of a knife as well as loving hearts aided in the rescue.
Following his rescue, the baby wagged his fin and proceeded in search of his mother.
