When people moved to a new house, they threw out the garbage and unnecessary things. Unfortunately, one of those things was their dog, so they left her outside along with her blanket. The day after they left, a local woman went for a walk and found an abandoned dog in the neighborhood. It was cold and rainy, and the dog lay on the blanket and did not want to leave it. She still thought that they would come back for her, and just waited. The neighbors told this sad story and she tried to help. As soon as the woman retreated, the dog returned, and so the idea was born.

As soon as the woman retreated, the dog returned, and so the idea was born. Every time the dog ran away, Tarashevskaya pulled the blanket closer to her home. In about an hour, the blanket and the dog were in the backyard, and Marina was able to grab her and move her to a safe place.
The dog, now called Camille, was scared.
“She lay curled up in a ball. When touched, she froze with fear. She didn’t make eye contact, she lowered her head. Her whole look said: Don’t look at me, don’t touch me, stay away.”
Camille had fresh wounds on her neck and ears, so she was immediately taken to the vet. The dog has had surgery and is on the road to recovery, not only physically, but emotionally as well.
“She’s doing great,” Dawson said. “She’s slowly starting to trust people.”
Camille now lives in a shelter where she receives a lot of love and attention – and becomes a completely different dog.
