Drive-Away Dolls is a movie with famous actors like Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, and a surprising cameo from Miley Cyrus.
Spoiler alert: Miley Cyrus, the singer, shows up in some really weird scenes in the movie, which is both funny and thrilling.
In an interview with The Wrap, the director Ethan Coen and writer Tricia Cooke explained why they chose Miley for the role of Tiffany Plaster Caster, a character inspired by a real person who made plaster casts of famous people’s private parts.
“I told Miley about Cynthia Plaster Caster, and she was like, ‘Oh, I thought that’s why you wanted me for the role,'” Cooke said. “Miley likes that kind of stuff,” joked Coen. “She’s into the hippie vibe and making molds of private parts.”
The real Cynthia Plaster Caster passed away in 2022. She became famous for making casts of famous people’s private parts, like Jimi Hendrix’s. She also made casts of other musicians like Wayne Kramer and Pete Shelley.
Filming Miley’s scenes, which were filled with psychedelic imagery, was a blast, according to Cooke. “Miley was up for anything we asked her to do,” she said. “We wanted to film a low-angle shot, and she didn’t mind at all. She’s done crazier stuff.”
Coen added, “Miley is a lot of fun. She’s only 29 but has an old-school showbiz attitude. She’s like, ‘Yeah, whatever you need.'”
According to Cooke, Miley is really passionate about this stuff. She even supposedly has a room full of plaster casts.
In 2019, Miley claimed she got kicked off a family-friendly movie because of a photo with a penis cake.
Drive-Away Dolls is about two friends, played by Qualley and Viswanathan, going on a road trip to Florida with some unusual cargo, including dildos made from Tiffany’s plaster casts.
In an interview with Collider, Cooke described the movie as a fun and lighthearted adventure that’s a bit outrageous at times, with some queer elements and a bit of sexiness.
I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it.

The actors were surprised and excited about Miley’s cameo. “We were all shocked,” said Viswanathan in an interview with Out.
