Ashley Roper Tolbert, who you might remember from “Bachelor in Paradise” and is 36 years old, shared a picture on Instagram. In the picture, she’s in a hospital, looking sad with tears in her eyes.
In the caption, she wrote, “Well, things didn’t go as I hoped. I really wanted to bury my baby under a beautiful tree in our yard and see even a little glimpse of their tiny body. That’s why I waited so long, hoping my body would change its mind. But now, it’s time to heal and move forward from this loss.”
She continued, “I’ve been trying to keep my peace and honor my baby, so I’ve only shared a little bit here and there. I hope it helps someone else going through this feel less alone. I see you, I feel your pain, and I love you.”
“To Beau, I carried you for almost 5 months, your soul for a little less, but I’ll carry you in my heart forever,” she finished.
A few days back, she conducted a Q&A session on her Instagram. In her post, she mentioned, “I’ve received many thoughtful inquiries regarding my current status and for any updates. To provide an update, I have yet to deliver the baby, and it appears that my body is aligning with Beau’s expected due date, which was in January.”
She also included, “I sense that I’m going through a whirlwind of emotions.” Sometimes I feel okay, and other times, it feels like I’m falling and trying to hold onto anything that makes sense.”
People asked her about trying for baby No. 4. She said, “I’m not sure right now. Part of me wants to, but I’m just not sure.”
Ashley Roper Tolbert and her husband Tanner Tolbert crossed paths during their appearance on the reality TV series “Bachelor in Paradise.” Their journey on the show led to an engagement, and they subsequently tied the knot in 2016. They are now proud parents of three children: Emerson, aged 5, Brooks, aged 3, and Reed, aged 2.
Earlier this month, Ashley Roper Tolbert shared on Instagram that she had a miscarriage. She said, “I’ve been struggling with what to write here as I’ve been navigating a miscarriage.”
She went on to express, “The experience of welcoming another child into our lives, loving them, and feeling like our family was finally complete was like a dream come true. Despite the immense sadness and the intricate nature of the grief we’re going through due to this loss, we feel fortunate to have been touched by his presence during his brief time with us. I am forever transformed by this experience.”
She proceeded to clarify, “At the moment, I’m going through a situation known as a missed miscarriage. This means that, although the baby’s heart has stopped beating, and growth ceased some time ago, my body hasn’t yet naturally miscarried the pregnancy. I’m opting for a natural process, placing my trust in the timing and my body’s ability, while being under the care of my healthcare provider.”
“It has been both challenging and devastating,” she wrote.
She concluded her message with a heartfelt tribute, saying, “As I cradle my belly here, our dear baby rests in my womb while his spirit takes flight. Baby Beau, you are cherished with every fragment of our hearts.”
