Johnny Depp just finished making his latest movie called “Modi.” He shared the news on Instagram and thanked his film team for their hard work in Budapest, Hungary.
In the movie, Depp is not just an actor but also the director. It’s his second time directing a film, the first one being “The Brave” in 1997.
The movie “Modi” is about the life of artist Amedeo Modigliani. Ryan McParland, another actor in the film, praised Depp for his vision and passion.
Depp spoke about how he’s honored to tell Modigliani’s story, a tale of hardship and triumph that everyone can relate to.
This film is based on a play and follows 48 hours in the life of the painter and sculptor Modigliani.
“Modi” is Depp’s second movie after his legal issues with ex-wife Amber Heard. He seems to be doing well, with recent appearances at the Cannes Film Festival and a North American distribution deal for his French movie “Jeanne Du Barry.”
Sources say Depp has moved on from the past year and is happy. He’s enjoying being an artist and focusing on different parts of his life that he couldn’t before because of his legal troubles.
