There are different ways to deal with the homeless. But it is important to remember that they are all people too. And sometimes more understanding and compassionate than the rest. In one of the Ukrainian cities, zoo volunteers went around the area in search of animals that had not been seen for a long time. They did not find them, but they met a homeless man who said that in the middle of the field the dog fell into the sewer manhole.
She has been there for at least three weeks. The man could not get her out of there, but he did not leave her in trouble. Every day he walked several kilometers to bring the food he found to the animal.
Volunteers reported this to a utility company that captures and transfers animals to shelters. The dog was taken out of a hole 4 meters deep and sent to the veterinarian.
It turned out that the volunteers had already tried to catch the four-legged pet in order to sterilize it, but they did not succeed.
Now the animal will not only be sterilized but also vaccinated.
And the homeless volunteers were sincerely thanked for not indifference and humanity.
